Gochujang Chicken – Slow Cooker (SEOUL BOWL)

Slightly spicy, a bit salty, and all kinds of savory.

  • 1 Slow Cooker


  • 450 gram Chicken Breast 450


  • 30 gram Gochujang
  • 20 gram Water
  • 2 gram Olive oil
  • 3 gram Salt
  • 1 gram Black pepper
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1 gram Ground ginger
  • 4 gram Honey (Optional!) Some people prefer the sweetness that honey brings to Gochujang dishes. I do not add it to mine. Add additional calories if you do add honey.

After done cooking

  • 10 gram Lime juice About half a lime


  • Place chicken breast in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  • Mix all sauce ingredients together.
  • Coat the chicken with the sauce using a pastry brush.
  • Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 4-6 hours.
  • Squeeze over lime juice.
  • Serve! Make it a Seoul Bowl, serve over a salad, or with potatoes and steamed vegetables.


Make it a Seoul Bowl by serving it over:
White Rice & Quinoa | Romanesco | Avocado | Cilantro | Pickled Poblano & Red Onion | Snap Peas | Shitake Mushrooms | Sesame Seeds
Or make it a roast by:
Adding small golden potatoes in the slow cooker and coat them with the sauce.
