Microwave Chocolate Sauce
Quick chocolate sauce that is low in calories
Ingredients
- 60 gram water
- 20 gram Dutch-processed Cocoa 20 calories
- 1 teaspoon equivalent to sugar substitute like splenda
- 0.12 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Mix everything into a large microwave-safe bowl.
- For a thinner sauce, microwave for 2 minutes.For a thicker sauce, microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Stop to stir every 30 seconds.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Can be served warm but I prefer to let it cool for an hour in the fridge so it becomes thicker.
Notes
If you want a thicker chocolate sauce, let it cool before serving.
Make sure to watch the sauce when microwaving. It might turn into a brownie-like consistency if it is microwaved too long. If this happens, add a small amount of water and stir it back to liquid again.
