Mashed Cauliflower

Replace your high-calorie mashed potatoes with mashed cauliflower.

Skinny Mashed Cauliflower

A super-healthy and low-calorie substitute for mashed potatoes, rice or pasta. Top with chopped fresh chives and parmesan cheese.

  • 350 gram cauliflower
  • 30 ml (gram) fat free milk
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper


  • Cut the cauliflower into smaller pieces.
  • Boil the cauliflower in a saucepan with water until it gets tender, about 10 minutes.
  • Pour out the water and mash the cauliflower with a stick blender, blender, or by hand using a potato masher.
  • Add milk and stir until you get desired consistency, I use 30 grams of non-fat milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.


You can replace milk with water in step 4, use the same water that you boiled the cauliflower in. Goes well with some finely chopped garlic added in step 4 as well.
