Quick Chili

Quick Chili

Add more vegetables such as shredded carrots, celery, and beans. For a more spicy chili, add a dash of Cayenne pepper.

Ingredients
  

  • 226 gram Ground Beef 93%
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel – Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies 283 g
  • 20 gram Tomato Paste
  • 40 gram Onion –
  • 60 gram Green bell pepper

Spice Mix

  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 0.5 tsp Cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp Spices
  • 0.5 tsp Oregano
  • 0.5 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Chop onion and bell pepper. Mince garlic.
  • In a non-stick skillet brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Add bell pepper when it is 2 minutes left.
  • Stir in the spices, canned tomato, water, and tomato sauce.
  • Let simmer for 20 minutes. For a thicker chili, add a tablespoon of cornstarch, Mix cornstarch with a bit of cold water making sure there are no lumps. Stir it into the chili.

Top with your favorite chili toppings. Some suggestions:

  • Diced onion

  • Shredded cheese
  • Crumbled queso fresco
  • JalapeƱo
  • Chopped cilantro
