How to cook Spaghetti Squash

How to roast Spaghetti Squash

Used in many recipes for a healthy pasta alternative

  • 1 whole Spaghetti Squash


  • Wash and dry the Spaghetti Squash
  • Cut it in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
    To make it easier to cut the squash: poke holes in the rind with a knife or fork. Microwave for five minutes and let cool. Then cut it in half.
  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Lightly brush the insides with some olive oil or spray non-stick spray.
  • Sprinkle with some spices such as salt, pepper, and garlic (optional)
  • Use a fork or a knife and poke some holes in the rind.
  • Place on a baking sheet, cut side down.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes depending on the size of your squash.
    For a more al dente, bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • Let cool. Once cool enough to handle, use a fork to scrape the inside strands out.
